Shirley Louise Testerman Edwards age 64 of Fancy Gap, Virginia passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2019 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Shirley was born in Grayson County, Virginia on October 1, 1954 to Carl Eugene and Bernice Lucille Cox Testerman. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Alvin Wayne Edwards and son Joseph Wayne Edwards.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Michelle and Mike Chappell of Matthews, North Carolina; three grandchildren Brooke Frye, Easton Chappell and Avery Chappell; brothers and sisters-in-law Clarence Eugene (Shortie) and Vicky Testerman; Clinton Eddie and Cathy Testerman all of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Barry Newman officiating. Burial will follow in the Blue Ridge Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 AM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
