Sherry Lee Billings Johnson age 65 of Independence, Virginia passed away Wednesday December 1, 2021 at her home.

Sherry was born in Wilmington, Delaware on December 26, 1955 to Harold Tyre and Virginia Powers Billings. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Sue Bobbitt and brother Joe Anders.

She proudly served her country in the US Army.

She is survived by her husband Curtis Johnson of Independence, Virginia; son Stephen Nunn of Independence, Virginia; step-son Roy Johnson of Galax, Virginia; step-daughter Mona Bowman of Woodlawn, Virginia; sisters & brothers-in-law Mary Lynn Wilkie of Elk Creek, Virginia; Carol and Tommy Sumner of Galax, Virginia; Billie and Joey Teti of Toughkenamon, Pennsylvania; brothers and sisters-in-law Junior and Marie Billings of Independence, Virginia; Jimmy and Fran Billings of Rising Sun, Maryland; brother-in-law Bo Bobbitt of Independence, Virgina; sister-in-law Regina Anders of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

There will be no services held for Sherry at this time.
