Sherman Roy Delp's Obituary
Sherman Roy Delp age 74 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday January 17, 2017 in the VA Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.
Mr. Delp was born on February 25, 1942 in Galax, Virginia to James Sherman and Hattie Coleman Delp. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Mildred Mosley.
He proudly served his country in the US Army.
He is survived by his wife Linda Delp of Galax, Virginia; daughters and son-in-law Melissa Rene Delp of Independence, Virginia; Michele and Kevin Kemp of Little Rock, Arkansas; son and daughter-in-law Stephen Michael and Andrea Lee Ferricher Delp of Cabot, Arkansas; brothers and sisters-in law Carl Gene and Jane Delp of Fancy Gap, Virginia; his twin James Troy and Shirley Delp of the Baywood Community; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Friday January 20, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Camp Zion Cemetery with Pastor Rodney Christman officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the Grayson VFW Post 7726. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
