Shelia Frost Hooven age 68 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday, April 18, 2025 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Shelia was born on August 9, 1956 in Galax, Virginia to William and Fern Frye Igo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Michael Neal Frost and a brother Dean Igo.

She is survived by her husband Ronald Alan Hooven of Galax, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Jennifer and Jerry Mason of Hillsville, Virginia; son Charlie Frost of Galax, Virginia; sisters and brothers-in-law Janet Patterson; Valerie and Connie Williams all of Galax, Virginia; Carolyn and Darrell Fowler of Hillsville, Virginia; brother Patrick Igo of Galax, Virginia; sisters-in-law Renee Igo of Raleigh, North Carolina; Cathy Frost of Cana, Virginia; one granddaughter Haley Mason; several nieces and nephews; many special family friends.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 12:00 PM in the Snow Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Ernie Smith officiating. Burial to follow in the Snow Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11:00 AM until time for the funeral service at the church. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request donations be made to the Snow Hill Baptist Church.
