Shelby Jean Triplett age 69 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday, February 28, 2014 at her home.

Shelby was born in Galax, Virginia on December 28, 1944 to Harvey Lee and Edna Martha Catron Anders. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Willis Henry Triplett.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Barbara and Wade Johnson of Fries, Virginia; Angel and Chad Harmon; Melissa Triplett and fiance' Randy Shupe all of Galax, Virginia; step-daughter and special friend Debbie Triplett and Dave of Rockwell North Carolina; grandchildren Joseph; Brooklyn; Eden; Cheyenne; Arizona; two step-grandchildren Curtis and Marie; three step-great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law Euna Lee and Raymond Davis; Maxine Frazier all of Galax, Virginia; Debbie and William Johnson of Fries, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law John Wayne Anders; Kenneth & Sue Anders; Richard & Brenda Anders; Danny Anders all of Galax, Virginia; very special niece Denise Absher; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Monday, March 3, 2014 at 3:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Brian Frazier officiating. Burial will follow in the Summerfield United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the funeral home.
