Sheila Arlene Carico, age 56, of Fries, Virginia passed away Wednesday September 9, 2020 in the Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Sheila was born in North Carolina on November 30, 1963 to Edward and Nellie Goad Jefferson.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Keith Jefferson.

She is survived by her husband Shon Carico of Fries; two daughters and sons-in-law Kacey and Charles Dalton of Hillsville, Kira and Steven Bowers of Fries; and nine grandchildren. Also surviving are sister and brother-in-law Opal and Dennis Funk of Greensboro, North Carolina; brother and sister-in-law James and Crystal Jefferson of Fries; several nieces and nephews, and special friends Polly Phipps and Doris Lineberry.

A graveside service will be held Friday September 11 at 3:30 PM in Mt. Hope Cemetery with Rev. Danny Tolley officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.

Due to CDC recommendations social distancing and mask will be required at the visitation and graveside service.
