Sharon Lynn Warf, 56, of Woodlawn, Virginia , passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home at Dobson, North Carolina. Sharon was born Tuesday, July 3, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan to Rudy Bryant Brooks, Jr. and Dortha Nell Howard Brooks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Dana Thweat.

She is survived by her husband Thomas J. Warf of Woodlawn, Virginia; sons and daughter-in-law Belford Dale & Shannon Barker of Galax, Virginia and Joshua David Barker of Austinville, Virginia; sisters: Melanie Thacker of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; Marilyn Magness of Dover, Delaware; Sandra Foley of Symsonia , Kentucky; and brother Rudy Bryant Brooks III. Four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 2:00 PM at McKenzie Cemetery with Rev. Ted Bartlett officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
