Sharon Berniece Gravely

Sharon Berniece Gravely Short age 66 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away unexpectedly and went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on Saturday, September 12, 2026 in the Twin Country Regional Hospital.

Sharon was born in Wythe County, Virginia on April 8, 1960 to Joseph Newton and Elizabeth Ann Rich Gravely. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Danny Lee Short and brother Joseph Newton Gravely, Jr.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law Andy and Mattie Zieniewicz of Woodlawn, Virginia; Jonathan and Brittany Zieniewicz of Clearwater, Florida; Joshua and Desiray Zieniewicz of Rochester, New York; sisters and brothers-in-law Darlene and Reid Lawson of Ft. Chiswell, Virgina; Joanne and Robert Burcham of Pulaski, Virginia; Lori Gravely and Fabian of France; brother and sister-in-law Frank and Pam Gravely of Ivanhoe, Virginia; six grandchildren Caleb; Damien; Isaac; Adam; Noella and Lilianna; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; special niece Jenn Gravely.

A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM in the Draper Valley Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery with Doug Goad officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from five until seven at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
