Scotty Rogers Johnson age 76 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2020 in the VA Medical Center in Salem, Virginia.

Scotty was born in Fries, Virginia on July 22, 1943 to William Henry and Bertha Fortner Johnson.

He proudly served his country in the US Army.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years Carolynne Custer Johnson of Galax Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law Gerald and Joanne Johnson of Greenville, South Carolina; Billy and Nancy Johnson of Galax, Virginia; sister-in-law Susan Custer Higgins of Galax, Virginia; brother-in-law Mac Higgins of Christiansburg, Virginia; four grandchildren Eric Floyd, Emily Floyd, Cameron Cruise and Caden Cruise; several nieces and nephews; special nephew Josh Higgins of Arlington, Virginia; extended family members Gary and Beth Ballard of Galax, Virginia; his special pet Tori.

A memorial service will be held at a later date with date and time to be announced.
