Scottie Smith age 61 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, August 2, 2012 at his home.
Scottie was born on May 20, 1951 in Galax, Virginia to Eugene and Clema Louise Funk Smith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife June Smith, sister Jane Martin and brother Donnie Smith.
He is survived by his daughters Amanda Iza of West Palm Beach, Florida; Jill Smith Akers of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren Cameron Smith, Catherine and Colt Davis; Daniel Price; several special nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 4, 2012 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the home of Judy and Jerry Fender, 406 Mallory Road in Woodlawn, Virginia. Military Rites will be conducted by the Grayson VFW Post 7726.
