Scott Weatherman's Obituary
Scott Weatherman age 68 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, June 26, 2014 at his home.
Scott was born in Galax, Virginia on July 19, 1945 to Walter and Opal Reavis Weatherman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Hines Weatherman.
Scott proudly served our country in the US Navy.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law Jason Weatherman and Jaye Edmonds; Luke and Brandi Weatherman; six grandchildren Shelbi, Emily, Isiah , Brianna, Jadyn and Lukas; sister and brother-in-law Thelma and C.L. Poe; brother Harold Weatherman all of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews; honorary son Daniel Robinson.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Sam Blevins and the Rev. Ted Bartlett officiating. Burial will follow in the McKenzie Cemetery with Military Rites by the Grayson VFW Post 7726. The family will receive friends Friday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
