Sarah Ethel Goodson Davis' Obituary
Sarah Ethel Davis age 99 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, October 4, 2012 in the Golden Living-Blue Ridge Health & Rehab Center.
Mrs. Davis was born in Carroll County, Virginia on December 13, 1912 to William and Caroline Dickens Goodson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Alexander Coy Davis and son Albert Clay Davis.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Bobby K. & Lura V. Davis of Galax, Virginia; nine grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; eighteen great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, October 7, 2012 at 2:00
PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Elder Edward Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request donatins be made to the Twin County Community Foundation P.O. Box Box 1131 Galax, Virginia 24333 and note in the memo section of your check for donation be designated for Twin County Hospice.
