Sarah (Betty) Edwards Burcham age 88 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Thursday December 14, 2006 in Twin County Regional Hospital. She was born on August 11, 1918 in Carroll County, Va. to the late Riley & Emma Hundley Edwards. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Richard Clio Burcham. She is survived by daughters & son-in-law Helen Beamer of Hillsville, Va.; Carol & Delmar Poe; Patsy Bowers all of Galax, Va.; sons & daughters-in-law Kenneth & Jean Burcham; Edward & Alice Burcham all of Galax, Va; Lloyd & Lois Burcham of Woodlawn, Va.; step-son Ronald Burcham of Wilminton, Delaware; sister Irene Akers of Galax, Va.; brothers & sisters-in-law John & Edith Edwards; Lewis & Bonnie Edwards all of Woodlawn, Va.; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Sunday December 17, 2006 at 2:00 PM in Bible Brethren Church with Sister Juanita Burnette & Rev. Bob Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
