Sanford Bela Lam, Sr. age 88 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, February 2, 2014 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.
Mr. Lam was born in Shenandoah County, Virginia on March 4, 1925 to Virgil and Nellie Roach Lam. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Viola Burnette Lam.
He is survived by his daughter Sandra Billings of Hillsville, Virginia; sons and daughters-in-law Sanford Lam, II and Shirley; Doug Lam and Amy all of Galax, Virginia; sisters and brother-in-law Hallie Kisling of Shenandoah, Virginia; Ginger and Vern Zila of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Lineberry Cemetery with Billy Burnette officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
