Sanford Wayne Byrd age 88 of Fries, Virginia passed away Thursday, September 11, 2008 in Golden Living Center. Mr. Byrd was born on February 8, 1920 in Virginia to Wayne Gustava and Ethel Anderson Byrd. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Daisy Reynolds Byrd. He is survived by a sister Doris Bond of Galax, Va.; step-sister Louise Phibbs of Fries, Va.; several nieces & nephews. A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 21, 2008 at 2:00 pm in Monta Vista Cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
