Sandra Jeannette Higgins, age 69, Woodlawn, VA, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017 in Galax, VA.
Mrs. Higgins was born Nov, 28, 1948 in Hobbs, New Mexico to Thomas and Fern Smart Holden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Diane Higgins,
She is survived by her husband, Ron Higgins, Woodlawn, VA; daughters & son-in-law, Cheryl & Clint Watson, Wimberley, Texas, Terri Lynn Higgins & Robert Crockett, Galax, VA; grandchildren, Reid, Owen, Dylan and Wyatt Watson; brother & sister-in-law, Tom & Vicki Holden, Baton Rouge, LA; father-in-law, Bruce Higgins, Woodlawn, VA; several nieces & nephews.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017 at the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home, Galax, VA Wed. Dec. 20, 2017. Officiating minister will be the Rev. Terry Johnson-Gregory.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church Benevolence Fund.
