Sandra Gayle Alderman known as Sandy Alderman, age 67 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday April 19, 2021 in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Sandy was born in Indiana on May 10, 1953 to Charles and Betty Sharp Miles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles (Charlie) Allen Alderman.

She is survived by her children and their spouse Amy and Robert Lundy; Charity and Damon Smith all of Galax, Virginia; Nicole Alderman; Danny and Vicky Alderman all of Woodlawn, Virginia; sister and brother-in-law Dr. Michelle Miles Stephenson and Carl Roppolo of Chicago, Illinois; brother and sister-in-law Jim and Carol Miles of Muncie Indiana; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A private funeral service will be held for the family. A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 29 ^th at 3:00 PM in the Felts Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Myron Dalton officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
