Sanders Randolph Stroupe age 87 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013 in the Forsyth Medical Center.

Mr. Stroupe was born on September 16, 1925 in Wythe County, Virginia to William Henry and Minnie Bell Bateman Stroupe. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Barbara Ann Stroupe and a grandson Timmy Stroupe.

He is survived by his wife Earlene Stroupe of Galax, Virginia; sons and daughter-n-law Payton and Linda Stroupe; Randall Stroupe all of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; granddaughter and husband Michelle and Charles Eldridge; great-grandchildren Christina Landreth; Destiny Paschall; Brandon Paschall; step-granddaughter and husband Stephanie and Steven Tuttle; step-great-grandchildren Morgan Tuttle; Conner Tuttle and Gavin Tuttle; sister Bertha Harrell of Ararat, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, March 10, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Fries Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Rick Watson and Rev. Ronnie Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in the Fries Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. The body will lie-in-state one hour prior the funeral service at the church.
