Samuel Amon Melton's Obituary
Samuel Amon Melton age 77 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Monday, July 19, 2010 in Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center.
Mr. Melton was born on July 9, 1933 in Carroll County, Virginia to Ellis and Vergie Lundy Melton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Ethel Melton.
He is survived by his wife Mary Melton of Woodlawn, Va.; son and daughter-in-law Brent and Debbie Melton of Woodlawn, Va.; step-daughters and spouse Pat Shumate of Woodlawn, Va.; Ruby & Albert Payne of Galax, Va.; sisters and brothers-in-law Wilma & Bud Worrell of Woodlawn, Va.; Hazel & John McKenzie of Galax, Va.; one granddaughter; one step-granddaughter; two step grandsons; three step-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Calvary Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the Melton Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from six until seven at Calvary Church of Christ.
