Samuel Deval Jackson age 77 of Woodlawn, Va. passed away Thursday morning, September 20, 2007 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Jackson was born on December 24, 1929 in Wythe Co. Va, to Joseph Samuel & Marcie Clyde Muncie Jackson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Gregory Howard Jackson. He is survived by his wife Pauline Parks Jackson of Woodlawn, Va.; son Samuel Darle Jackson of Woodlawn, Va.; sister Elizabeth Jenkins of Midlothian Va.; brother Dallas Jackson of Wytheville, Va.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 22, 2007 at 2:00 pm in Bishops Chapel Church with Rev. Jimmy Harmon and Rev. Terri Gregory officiating. The body will lie-in-state one hour before the funeral service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Military Rites by Grayson VFW Post 7726. The family will receive friends Friday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
