Sammy Dwight Roberts

Sammy Dwight Roberts passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 18, 2026.

Sam was born on November 20,1946, in Sparta, NC. He attended Alleghany High School and pursued a career in manufacturing. Sam enjoyed golf, gardening and working on home projects.

In addition to his parents, Kermit and Rosetta Roberts, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Bain, Wayne, Aldean, Bill, Joe, Kermit (Junior), Eugene and Eula Mae.

He is survived by his wife, Anita; two sons, Jeff (Deanna) and Dwight (Dominique); three grandchildren, Caleb, Payton and Roman; two great grand babies, Rhodes and Sullivan; and two siblings, brother, Jack and sister, Emma Lou.

Sam was known for his easy-going nature. He was always helping people in the community with home improvements and projects or with just an encouraging word. He loved the Lord and was often found reading his bible and reflecting on God’s goodness.

Sam was loved by many and will be remembered for his strength, his helpful nature and the lasting impact he made on those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed!

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at Saddle Mountain Baptist Church in Ennice, NC starting at 1:30 PM
