Ruth Elizabeth Bowman Warf age 93 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Monday, July 16, 2018 in the Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Warf was born in Grayson County, Virginia on October 9, 1924 to Lafayette and Lena Martin Bowman. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Jackson Warf; siblings Ocie Willie, Opal Bowman, Allen Lyons, Ruby Burcham, Gaynell Ball and John Bowman.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Bonnie and Randy Russell of Woodlawn, Virginia; grandchildren and spouses Shane and Melissa Russell of Winston, Oregon, Todd Russell and Pam Sumner of Galax, Virginia; Scott Russell of Poulsbo, Washington, great-granddaughter Callie Elizabeth Russell; sister Mildred Ring of Fries, Virginia; several nieces and nephew.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, July 22, 2018 at 3:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Dina Clower officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
