Ruth Ann Newman's Obituary
Ruth Ann Newman age 81 of Hillsville, Virginia passed away Thursday, January 1, 2026 in the Galax Health and Rehab Center.
Mrs. Newman was born on May 27, 1944, in Carroll County, Virginia to Lester Leroy and Mary Sue Melton Amburn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald Newman.
She is survived by her son Ronald Newman of Hillsville, Virginia and brother Roger Amburn of Fancy Gap, Viriginia.
A private graveside service was held Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 1:00 PM in the Blue Ridge Chapel Church Cemetery with Pastor Brent Carrick officiating.
