Blanch Ruth Bedsaul Dotson, age 93, of Galax, VA died Aug. 10, 2013 at her home.

Mrs. Dotson was born Jan. 29, 1920 to Charlie C. and Tishia Donathan Bedsaul. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Dotson, brother, Johnny Bedsaul, sisters, Avis Bryant, Mary Bryant, Barbara Martin and son-in-law, Basil Douglas.

She is survived by daughters & son-in-law, Frances Douglas, Whitsett, NC, Sue & Ron Baudoin, Kingsman, AZ; grandchildren, Donna Gates & fiancee', Johnny Howell of NC, Joseph Spicer of CA, Kirk & Becky Spicer of NC, Sarah & Jeff Dwyer of VA; great-grandchildren, Heather & Josh Robinson, Galax, NC, Jeremy Gates & girlfriend, Angelica Koelling, NC, Maria Spicer, NC, Dylan Spicer,CA. Juliette Dwyer, VA; great-great grandchildren, Elijah, Micah, Jonah & Levi Robinson of Galax; sisters in-law, Rosalee Crouse, Galax, VA and Jean Crouse, Thomasville, NC. Several nieces & nephews also survive.

Funeral service will be held Monday, Aug. 12, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel, Galax, VA. Burial Will follow in the Meadow Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Officiating minister will be Kirk Spicer.
