Ruth Jane Davis' Obituary
Ruth Jane Davis age 94 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, January 16, 2012 at her home.
Mrs. Davis was born on May 25, 1917 in Wilkesboro, North Carolina to Jess and Alice Handy Alexander. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John Davis.
She is survived by her daughter Mary Crouse Ashby of Galax, Virginia; granddaughter Susie Sturgill of Sparta, North Carolina; grandsons and spouses Ronnie and Kathy Davis; Roger and Sharon Davis; Larry Davis and Gary Davis all of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina; grandson and fiancee' Billy Davis and June Perkins of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina; six great-granddaughters; one great-grandson; one great-great-grandson; very special caregiver Margie Carico.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Junior Bullion and Ronnie Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Sparta Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
