Ruth Lorraine Burris Testerman age 96 of the Carsonville Community passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on November 22, 1924 in Grayson County, Virginia to Martin Kyle and Emma Elizabeth Horne Burris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Glenn Testerman, Jr. and daughter-in-law Mary H. Testerman.

She is survived by husband of 79 years Hicks Testerman, Sr. of Independence, Virginia; children and spouses Billy Odell and Betty Testerman of Galax, Virginia; Linda T. Waller; Kathy and Robert Asbury all of Independence, Virginia; three grandchildren and spouse Steve and Marcy Testerman; Scott Testerman; Anna Waller; two great-grandchildren Tori Testerman and Bentley Testerman; sister Imogene McKinnon of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Friday at 2:00 PM in the Summerfield Cemetery with Pastor Greg Burnett officiating. There will be no visitation.
