Rubye Sharpe Bowers Williams of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2024 in the Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center.

Rubye was born in Carroll County, Virginia to Lloyd A. and Ethel Mae Lineberry Sharpe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands Winfred Bowers and Robert L. Williams; one brother and two sisters.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Paul and Leslie Bowers of Galax, Virginia; two grandchildren Hunter Paul Bowers and Erin Grace Bowers both of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM in the Monta Vista Cemetery with Pastor Dave White officiating. The family will receive friends Friday at the Monta Vista Cemetery from 10:30 AM until time for the service. Flowers will be appreciated or donations may be made to the Joy Ranch Home for Children.
