Rubye Hope Isom age 90 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016 in the Golden Living Center.
Miss Isom was born on March 1, 1926 in Galax, Virginia to John and Vergie Weatherman Isom. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters and brother-in-law Opal and Simon Sizemore; Ella Mae Isom; Mona and Teddy Jennings.
She is survived by her nieces and spouses Linda and Jimmy Litz; Judy and Johnny Diamond all of Galax, Virginia; great niece Lori Diamond of Dublin, Virginia; great-nephews and spouses Chris and Debra Diamond of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; Eric and Amy Litz of Galax, Virginia; special great-great-nieces Sarah Diamond and Abbey Diamond.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 5:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Myron Dalton and Pastor Sue Greene officiating. Burial will follow in the McKenzie Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 4:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
