Ruby Diane Sawyers age 44 of Galax, Va. passed away Friday, May 29, 2009 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Ruby was born on August 16, 1964 in Galax, Virginia to Thomas Lee & Anna Thompson Jennings. In additon to her mother of Galax, Va. she is survived by her son & daughter-in-law Douglas & Tiffany Jennings; fiance' Verl Brown, Sr.; sisters Mattie Thompson; Christine Jennings; Helen Beamer; Peggy Jennings; brother Marvin Jennings all of Galax, Va.; four grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Friday, June 5, 2009 at 2:00 pm in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Larry Cutler and JoAnn Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Glades Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from seven until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
