Ruby N. Leiper age 74 of Fries, Va. passed away Thursday, November 20, 2008 at her home. Mrs. Leiper was born on March 25, 1934 in Carroll County, Va. to William Heath & Mary Valentine Bond Newman. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Richard Leiper. She is survived by her daughters & son-in-law Mary (Kim) Hartung; Pamela Williams both of Fries, Va.; Susan (Dee-Dee) Williams of Roanoke, Va.; Vickie & Lonnie Clemons of Gibsonville, N.C.; son Cody Williams of Fries, Va.; sisters & brothers-in-law Winifred & Billy Jefferson of Chesapeake, Va.; Mozelle & Howard Dowling of Fries, Va.; Agene Carter of Randleman, N.C.; Goldie & Pete Southern of Greensboro, N.C.; half-sister & her husband Virginia & Arthur Spence of Willis, Va.; sister-in-law Jane Newman of Fries, Va.; six grandchildren Danny & Tamara Williams; Kimberly Perry; Charles Hartung; Paul Hartung; Kevin Clemons & Tyler Clemons; two great-grandchildren Kelton Perry & Gevan Cruise; several nieces & nephews also survive. The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 2:00 PM in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Ken Blevins & Chuck Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Bond Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. A special thanks for all the love and support to Paul.
