Ruby Dell Rector Jennings, age 93 of Lexington, Va., passed away Sunday-July 23, 2006 in Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital.She was born January 15,1913 in Grayson County, Va. to the late Mack Daniel and Celia Collins Rector. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, J. Robert Jennings; a son, Robert Dean Jennings; a daughter, Eleanor Lois Duff; a granddaughter, Conna Myra Duff; sister, Ruth Andrews; and brother, Joseph Dean Rector. She is survived by a son-in-law, Gene C. Duff of Lexington, Virginia; one granddaughter, Karen A. Duff of Lexington, Va; grandson Robert Dean Jennings, Jr. of Thurmont, Maryland; one brother and sister-in-law, Dan H. and Opal Rector of Galax, Va. ; three nieces, Betsy Wright, Janette Shockley and Frances D. Rector; one nephew, D. Stephen Rector. The funeral service will be held Thursday, July 27, 2006 at 3:00 PM in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev.
Elizabeth Wright of Jarrett, Va. officiating. Burial will follow in Crab Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
