Ruby Grace Harmon Lundy's Obituary
Ruby Grace Harmon Lundy, 93, of Galax died Saturday February 2, 2008 at the Waddell Nursing Home.
She was born June 15, 1914 in Carroll County to Alexander Harmon and Bertha Fowler Harmon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Wesley Lundy; one brother Dewey D. Harmon, three sisters- Zella H. Lineberry, Fern H. Dillon and Juanita H. Jennings.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law: Jo Ann Jones and Earnest R. Jones of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one son and daughter-in-law: Wesley Ray Lundy and Linda L. Lundy of Blue Ridge Summit, PA; two sisters, Odean H. Burnette of Henderson, Nevada and Lexie E. Jones of Chesapeake, VA; two brothers-in-law Mack Patton and Nelson F. Lundy and wife Sue; a sister-in-law Alice Lundy, all of Galax; two grandchildren Deborah Jones & Lisa Swift; two great-grandchildren Geneva Swift & Dean Swift; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.The funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the First Christian Church with Rev. Casey McKenna & Pastor Russell Payne officiating. Burial will follow in Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
Flowers will be appreciated or donations may be made to the Pipers Gap Rescue Squad, Shriner's Childrens Hospital, or the First Christian Church, 402 N. Jefferson Street, Galax, VA 24333
