Mrs. Ruby Lineberry Bowers, 99, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018 in the Twin County Regional Hospital, Galax, Virginia. Mrs. Bowers was born February 27, 1918 in Carroll County Virginia to the late Albert Lineberry and Callie Lineberry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Bowers, sons Ray Bowers and Clarence Bowers, one grandchild, daughter-in-law Jewell Bartlett Busick; three sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law: Myrtle and Kent Davis of Athens, Georgia; Patricia Diamond of King, North Carolina; son and daughter-in-law: Johnny and Barbara Bowers of Woodlawn, Virginia; daughter-in-law Janice Bowers of Galax, Virginia; nine grandchildren: Melissa Wolfe, Brad Davis, Michael Diamond, Heather Nester, Jason Bowers, Travis Bowers, Darlene Carico, Dwaine Bowers and Detra Boyd. She is also survived by sister-in-law: Frances Vipperman, seventeen great grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Billy Burnette officiating. Interment will follow in the Newman Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12 noon until time for the funeral service at the funeral home.
