Roy Jay Moxley's Obituary
Roy Jay Moxley, age 82, of Galax, VA, died Saturday Oct. 28, 2017 at the Waddell Nursing & Rehab Center, Galax.
Mr. Moxley was born May 22, 1935 in Grayson County, VA to James & Beatrice Brown Moxley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon Moxley, sisters, Dorothy Moxley and Mary Burris.
He is survived by his wife, Etta Mae Moxley; daughters & sons-in-law, Becky & Mike Butcher, Linda & Rodney Fields, Galax, VA; sons, Ronnie Moxley & Fiance, Teresa, King, NC, Darrell Moxley & Mike Moxley, Galax, VA; sister, Eula Faye Osborne, Galax, VA, several nieces & nephews and several special friends, also, survive.
Mr. Moxley retired from 27 years with the VDOT Dept.
A graveside service and burial will be held Monday, Oct. 30, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Felts Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Officiating ministers will be the Rev. Randy Morris and Pastor Sam Holder.
The family requests no food and that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to charity of choice.
