Roy Lee Jennings age 77 of Newport News, Virginia passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2007 in Newport News. Mr. Jennings was born in Carroll County, Va. on May 4,1930 to Lester & Edith Jennings. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his four year old son Ronnie; sister Gertrude and brother James. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Rosa B. Jennings; daughter & son-in-law Patricia R. & Curtis Jones, Jr. ; son & daughter-in-law David M. & Joyce Jennings all of Newport News, Va.; brothers Raymond Jennings, Carroll Jennings and Wayne Jennings all of Galax, Va.; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. A graveside service will be held Sunday, September 30, 2007 at 11:00 AM in Lineberry Cemetery with Jimmy Jennings officiating.The family will receive friends Saturday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
