Roy Lee Burnette age 63 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, December 14, 2015 in the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina.

Roy was born in Carroll County, Virginia on May 20, 1952 to George and Mittie Coulson Burnette. In addition to his parents he was
preceded in death by his brother Ray Burnette.

He is survived by his wife Linda W. Burnette of Galax, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Sherry Lee and Justin Barnard of Hillsville, Virginia; sons and daughters-in-law Jason Lee and Amy Burnette of Galax, Virginia; Justin Lee and Dezirae Burnette of Newton, North Carolina; step-children and spouses Regina and Tim Agnew of Hillsville, Virginia; Lisa and Darren Lineberry of Woodlawn, Virginia; sister Sharon Adean Swain of Galax, Virginia; sister-in-law Inez Burnette of Galax, Virginia; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Galax Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Ron Fredericks and Pastor Theron Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the Hebron Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from twelve noon until time for the funeral service at the Galax Pentecostal Holiness Church.
