Roy Roger Allen, age 82, of Galax, Virginia passed away Saturday March 14, 2026 in his residence.

Roger was born on November 23, 1943 in Galax, Virginia to the late Joe Thomas and Alberta Rutherford Allen. He was also preceded in death by his siblings Helen Allen, Edna Ruth Edwards, Rita McKenzie, and Joe Thomas Allen Jr.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Ashley and Adam Houk of Galax, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Josh and Charlee Allen of Lake Wylie, South Carolina; grandchildren Cameron Allen, Madison Allen, Briggston Houk, Finnley Houk, and Dakota (Shane) Baker; and a special niece Brenda Fender. As well as several other nieces and nephews.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that a donation be made to the Carroll County High School Golf Team.

A private graveside will be held.
