Rosie Lee Caudill Mickey age 85 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, February 9, 2026 in the Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Mickey was born in Sparta, North Carolina on March 28, 1940 to Walter and Icie Billings Caudill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Gray Mickey and brother Troy Caudill.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law April and Shawn Lundy; son Mike Mickey all of Galax, Virginia; five grandchildren Tabitha Burnette of Galax, Virginia (Baywood Community); Max Mickey  of Lexington, Kentucky; Megan Mickey of Pulaski, Virginia; Connor Lundy (Grace) of Fancy Gap, Virginia; Keely Taylor( Colby) of Elk Creek, Virginia; three great-grandchildren Jayden Franklin; Jaxon Burnette and Frazier Mickey.

A graveside service will be held Friday at 2:00 PM in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery at Baywood with Herbert Rutherford officiating.  There will be no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request  donations be made to the hospice of the donor's choice.
