Rose Hall Vaughan age 99 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday August 22, 2022 at her home.

Mrs. Vaughan was born in Grayson County, Virginia on October 30, 1922 to Noah and Myrtle Rudy Hall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Burley Mitchell Vaughan.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Ralph Mitchell and Della Vaughan of Galax, Virginia; two granddaughters and spouses Melissa and Jamie Stewart; Allison and Andrew Shortt; four great-grandchildren; Madison Stewart; Colin Stewart; Spencer Shortt and Everly Shortt; special friend Lillie Belle Caudell; special nurses Pamela Day and Linda Stanley.

A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM in the Monta Vista Cemetery with Pastor David Long and Pastor Bill Ring officiating. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request donations be made to the Longview United Methodist Church, 2998 Grinders Mill Road, Galax, Virginia 24333.
