Roscoe Holderfield age 90 of Bassett, Virginia passed away Sunday in the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Mr. Holderfield was born in Carroll County, Virginia on June 16, 1929 to John Watson and Verdie Robinson Holderfield. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four sisters Bessie Holderfield, Janie Greene, Beatrice Greene and Sarah Linville, two brothers Curtis Holderfield and William Holderfield.

He is survived by one sister Pearl Goodson of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Friday at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Elder Arwood Edwards, Elder B.J. Hawks and Elder Sam Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
