Rosa Helen Richardson, age 88, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2017 in Richmond, VA. Helen was born in Lee County, VA, but moved to Galax, VA as a child. She and her husband, James, lived there until 1967, then moving to Chilhowie, VA. She spent over 30 years in Chilhowie before moving to Abingdon, VA where she lived for 13 years before moving to Glen Allen, VA to live with her son.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, James Donald Richardson and daughter-in-law, Hazel Richardson.

She is survived by three sons, James Howard Richardson of Winder, GA, David Richardson and wife Amy of Glen Allen, VA, Richard Richardson and wife Edwina of Marion, VA; three grandchildren, James Patrick Richardson and wife, Dana of Rensselaer, NY, Kristi Richardson of Glen Allen, VA and Katelyn Richardson of Marion, VA; two sisters, Ruth Ramey and Peggy Sprinkle, both of Wagram, NC.

A graveside service will be held at Monta Vista Memorial Gardens in Galax, VA on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 11:00 A.M.
