Ronald Kyle Poe

Ronald Kyle Poe, age 77, of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, July 26th at his home.

Ronald was born on June 15, 1949 in Pulaski, Virginia. In addition to his father, George Kyle Poe, he was preceded in death by his grandparents who raised him Sam and Bertie Poe.

He is survived by his wife, Cherly Poe of Galax, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law, Nathan and Robin Poe of Woodlawn, Virginia; daughter, Valerie Thompson of Galax, Virginia; step-children, Angelina Bunn and Joshua Bunn; four grandchildren, Chase Poe; Jaden Poe (Gracie); Kendreck Poe; Kamerana Thompson (Kailey); two great-grandchildren, Amiah Thompson and Kailani Poe; four step-grandchildren, Levi Bunn; Lawson Bunn; Anthony Bunn and Aisley Bunn; brothers-in-law, Glen Grimes and Douglas Grimes (Shelia); and favorite pets Snowball and Bell.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, August 9, 2026 at 3:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Chaplain Robbie Vance officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 9th from 2:00 PM until time for the service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
