Ronald Dean Pierce age 62 of Ivanhoe, Virginia passed away Friday November 14, 2025 in the Carilion New River Valley Medical Center.

Ronald was born on July 5, 1963 in Galax, Virginia to Earl Dean and Carolyn Ann Lawson Pierce. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a son Jason Pierce.

He is survived by his wife Sherry Pierce of Ivanhoe, Virginia; daughters and sons-in-law Brittany and Jamie Linkous of Ivanhoe, Virginia; Heather and Brad Funk of Fries, Virginia; father Earl Dean Pierce of Fries, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law Julian Pierce; Earl Jr. and Traci Pierce all of Fries, Virgina; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild;  three step-children; eleven step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandson; several nieces and nephews; many special friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 22nd  at 3:00 PM in the Mt. Hope Church with Pastor Matt Linkous officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until time for the service at the Mt. Hope Church.
