Ronald Edward Nelson age 64 of Elk Creek, Virginia passed away Thursday, July 25 2019 at his home.

Ronald was born on October 28, 1954 in Carroll County, Virginia to Kent Douglas and Ella Margaret Eastridge Nelson.

He is survived by his children and their spouses Ashley and Charles Nester of Elk Creek, Virginia; Nicholas and Rod Vaughn of Waynesboro, Virginia; Kriston Drew and Tiffany Nelson of Rural Retreat, Virginia; five grandchildren Riley, Keagen, Trent, Hoyt and Kinsley; sisters and brother-in-law Frieda and Virgil Sexton of Fries, Virginia; Carol Post of Ennice, North Carolina; brother Robert Nelson of Fries, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Monday, July 29, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Greg Carico officiating. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
