Ronald George Lewis age 79 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday January 16, 2023 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Mr. Lewis was born on July 2, 1943 in Grayson County, Virginia to George Washington and Callie Payne Lewis.

He is survived by his wife Mary Frances Lewis of Galax, Virginia; daughters and sons-in-law Michele Ann and Michael Lynn Snyder of Galax, Virginia; Jacqueline Renee and John Fuentes of Roanoke, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Christopher George and Angela W Lewis of High Point, North Carolina; six grandchildren Baylie Frances Snyder; Jacob Michael Snyder; Linden Heath Snyder; Dylan Blake Lewis; Ian Kade Fuentes; Alexander Kai Fuentes; sister Ruth Ann Lewis of Galax, Virginia; niece and husband Glisyn and Jeff Mason; nephews and spouses Jason Dereck and Penny Criner; Aaron Lewis and Lea Ann Criner.

The funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM in the Hillcrest Baptist Church with the Rev. James Cowley officiating. Burial will follow in the Blue Ridge Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the Hillcrest Baptist Church.
