Roger Lee Roberts age 65 of Independence, Virginia passed away Saturday November 12, 2022 at his home.

Roger was born in Grayson County, Virginia on December 11, 1956 to Claude and Katherine Bourne Roberts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers James Lawrence Roberts and Billie Joe Roberts

.He is survived by his wife Teresa Stuart Roberts; son and daughter-in-law Lee and Carrie Roberts all of Independence, Virginia; three grandchildren Angela and Cody Hawks; April and Mitchell Benton; Katelynn Roberts; three great-grandchildren Hunter Isom; Gracie Hawks; Grayson Hawks; sisters and brother-in-law Brenda and Lennie Wingler of Christiana, Tennessee; Mary Elizabeth Melton of Independence, Virginia; brother Teddie Joe Roberts of Florida; several nieces, nephews and cousins; several special friends and neighbors.

The funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Doug Stuart and Argil Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
