Roger Jearld Ring age 74 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014 at this home.

Mr. Ring was born on February 9, 1940 in Carroll County, Virginia to Graham and Nora Musser Ring.

He is survived by his wife Clara Ring of Galax, Virginia; daughter and fiance' Roxann Ring and Mike Kirby of Galax, Virginia; son and friend Bryan Ring and Susie Jennings of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren Beth Smythers; Heather Ring; Chris Ring and fiancee' Megan Kennedy; Dylan Smythers and finacee' Shayla Kenny; great-grandchildren Braylee Anderson; Kendall Ring and Bentley Anderson; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Myron Dalton officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. Flowers will be appreciated or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
