Roger Lee Ray age 30 of Fries, Virginia passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016 at his home.
Roger was born in Galax, Virginia on February 18, 1986.
In addition to his mother Angela Ray of Fries, Virginia, Roger is survived by his wife Beth Boyd; daughters Laya Ray, Alexis Cecil and Carrie Cecil all of Galax, Virginia; sisters Courtney Melton of Fries, Virginia; Amanda Ray of West Virginia; brothers Barry Fields of Fries, Virginia; Stephen Leagans of Galax, Virginia; grandfathers John Odell Barrett of Fries, Virginia and Jack Summey; nephew Jonathan Wroten of Galax, Virginia; several aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his step-father Jesse Melton; grandmothers Earlene Barrett and Ella Mae Summey and a nephew Matthew Lundy.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 29, 2016 ay 2:00 PM in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
