Roger Blake Jennings age 65 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, October 28, 2013 in the VA Medical Center in Salem, Virginia.
Roger was born on March 28, 1948 in Galax, Virginia to Howard and Ruth Russell Jennings.
He proudly served his country in the US Navy.
In addition to his mother Ruth Jennings of Galax, Virginia, Roger is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law Trevor and Monna Jennings of Roanoke, Virginia; Cody Jennings of Conakry, Guinea (Northern Africa); brother and sister-in-law Tony and Lisa Jennings of Hillsville, Virginia; two nieces and one nephew.
The funeral service will be held Monday, November 4, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Lee Houston officiating. Burial will follow in the Gladeville Cemetery with Military Rites by Grayson VFW Post 7726. The family will receive friends Monday from 12:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Grayson VFW Post 7726.
