Roger Ralph Alderman age 62 of Galax, Va. passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2007 in the VA Medical Center in Salem, Va.. Roger was born in Carroll County, Va. on March 18, 1945 to Roby Lee & Dorothy Rakes Alderman. In addition to his mother of Galax, Va. he is survived by a daughter & son-in-law Amy & Scott Southern of Greer, South Carolina; son & daughter-in-law Scott & Sharon Alderman of Lewisville, North Carolina; sisters & brother-in-law Lois Ann Wagoner; Violet & Jim Brewer all of Galax, Va.; brothers & sisters-in-law, Donnie & Linda Alderman; Mitchell & Arlowene Alderman all of Galax, Va.; five grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Friday, April 27, 2007 at 2:00PM in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Brian Alderman & Edward Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Alderman Cemetery with Military Rites By Hillsville VFW Post 1115. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:30 until service time at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
